Sam Bradford’s night is done right before the half after he suffered through a miserable first handful of series in the game. Case Keenum replaced the Minnesota Vikings starter, who was playing for the first time since Week 1 on Monday night against the Chicago Bears.
Bradford was clearly not 100 percent healthy. He struggled with mobility, struggled to get enough juice on his throws and finished the game with just 36 yards on 5-of-11 passing.
At one point, backed up into his own end zone he took a sack, which led to the first points in the first half for either team (watch here).
Keenum has been far from perfect in the three games he played replacing Bradford. He did complete 61 percent of his passes for 755 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. However, much of that production, including all three touchdowns, came in the Tampa Bay game, which was also the only win the Vikings had with him at the helm.
Still, given Bradford’s struggles, it became clear that Keenum was the better option in the game.
