Not surprisingly, the Indianapolis Colts have ruled quarterback Andrew Luck out for Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.

This news comes on the heels of the team announcing Luck is finally starting to practice with the team this week after rehabbing for well over nine months following shoulder surgery. General manager Chris Ballard said that Luck will slowly be worked back into practice, so it’s not hard to imagine he’ll be ruled out for the team’s Week 6 game against the Tennessee Titans as well.
Indianapolis has predictably struggled without its quarterback. Scott Tolzien was quickly benched in favor of Jacoby Brissett, whom the team acquired in a trade with the New England Patriots. He managed to help the Colts win against the Cleveland Browns, but the team hasn’t been able to do anything else.
Heading into Week 5, Indy is in last place in the AFC South with a record of 1-3.
