New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took the trip with his team to Dallas in advance of Sunday night’s game against the Cowboys. It led to speculation that he might be good to go after missing the past few weeks due to an ankle sprain.
But as the all-important divisional matchup nears, it’s looking more and more like Beckham will sit this one out.
Asked chances of OBJ playing tonight vs. Cowboys, one source texted, "What are the chances of you going to Cuba next month for vacation?"

Ouch.
If OBJ is unable to go, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard will start for the Giants against a weak Cowboys pass defense. They have more than enough talent to fill in for Beckham as Eli Manning’s favorite targets.
And in reality, it makes perfect sense for the Giants to play it close to the vest with their top receiver. There’s no reason to risk long-term injury in order for him to play in an early-season game.
