Report: NFL fully reinstates Steelers WR Martavis Bryant

Martavis Bryant, Dallas Cowboys

The NFL has announced Martavis Bryant has been officially reinstated for the regular season. This is surely the news that the Pittsburgh Steelers wideout was hoping to hear heading into the Labor Day weekend.

Bryant spent the whole 2016 season serving a suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. It was previously reported that the NFL was leaning towards Bryant’ being fully reinstated by Commissioner Roger Goodell. This confirmation seals things up.

Bryant has played in just 21 games with the Steelers since being drafted in the fourth round in 2014. His numbers were on the rise in 2015 when he put up 50 receptions for 765 yards and six touchdowns.

He is one of the speediest guys in the league and has an average catch rate of 17.3 yards.

The Steelers must also be happy that they can close the book on this drawn-out story and move forward with Bryant. Hopefully he can stay out of trouble and put the past behind him.
