Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason exited Saturday’s game against Appalachian State with a left knee injury and has been ruled “out for now.”

The sophomore quarterback got off to a rough start before being forced out of the game, going just 1-of-3 for four yards. His knee was banged up on a late hit.

In his stead, freshman Jake Fromm entered the game. Georgia didn’t want to have to throw Fromm into the fire this early, but he’s doing fine so far. He has been able to generate some offense early, going 5-of-8 for 62 yards heading into the final minute of the first quarter.
Nick Chubb capped off Fromm’s first scoring drive with a one-yard touchdown to put the Bulldogs up 7-0.
