As a rookie kicker last season, Roberto Aguayo was a byword of failure after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
He finished the season sporting some very unfavorable stats: 71 percent field-goal rate and two missed extra points.
Not surprisingly, the Bucs made it clear his job was on the line this summer.
Then this happened on Friday night.

Not surprisingly, Twitter had a lot to say about Aguayo’s missed extra point.
I tried this argument last year but really it's just Aguayo isn't very good and the Bucs were dumb for taking him in the 2nd round. https://t.co/XAmLihloGK

Aguayo might not last the preseason at this point. He’s got to beat out Nick Folk, who was brought in to compete for the job this summer. We’ll be keeping an eye on this. Bad kickers can ruin good teams, and the Bucs are a good team right now.
