Christian Hackenberg is terrible. The New York Jets are absolutely terrible. So it stands to reason the two would play terribly Saturday night against the New York Giants.
Starting the team’s third preseason game over veteran Josh McCown, Hackenberg threw two pick-six’s in the first half against the Giants.
No, really.
The first one came as Giants safety Landon Collins read Hackenberg’s eyes on what was a basic out route. The throw itself was just horrendous.
It's a @TheHumble_21 Pick-6!

Then, later in the first half, Hackenberg once again telegraphed a pass to the outside. This time, defensive backĀ Donte Deayon returned it 36 yards for another Giants touchdown.
The @Giants defense comes up BIG again.

All said, Hackenberg ended the first half having completed 8-of-15 passes for 60 yards with these two interceptions.
Let’s hope for fans in New Jersey, they’re not forced to watch this young quarterback play. He belongs nowhere near a regular season NFL game. That’s the harsh truth.
