The Baltimore Ravens currently find themselves in the midst of multiple injury concerns with training camp itself getting going. Running back Kenneth Dixon is already lost for the season after suffering a torn meniscus.
Now, it looks like the Ravens will be without starting quarterback Joe Flacco for at least the next three weeks.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Ravens are expecting to be without their starter for the next 3-6 weeks due to a disc issue in his back.
#Ravens QB Joe Flacco is preparing to miss 3-6 wks with a disc issue in his back. Out at least a week or 2, sources tell me & @TomPelissero.

This is the very same Ravens squad that has dealt with a plethora of injuries over the past two seasons. The three-week time frame would would enable Flacco to return in time to make a preseason appearance. Though, if it were extended to six weeks, his availability for Week 1 would be placed into question. Baltimore’s top backup at the quarterback position is Ryan Mallett.
We will definitely have further updates as they become available.
