The parking logistics at many football stadiums are not always ideal. Unfortunately, the future Las Vegas Raiders reportedly have plans to make fans park miles away from their new stadium.
According to Adam Candee of The Las Vegas Sun, the Raiders are working with the University of Las Vegas to supply thousands of campus parking spots for patron parking. The good here is the parking will be free, per the report. The bad is that UNLV is slightly more than three miles away from the Raiders new stadium site. Vegas traffic will only add more delays to the amount of time it takes to shuttle from UNLV to the stadium.
According to a study conducted in June, it was determined that the new stadium location would only accommodate 15 percent of the parking for the proposed 65,000-seat facility. That’s obviously a huge problem and where the spacious parking at UNLV offers a solution.
Right now, it is projected that the stadium will be completed for the 2020 NFL season. The much-anticipated, new state-of-the art facility will offer luxury suites and club-seating for those willing to spend top dollar watching Raiders games.
