The Miami Heat released Chris Bosh Tuesday and have announced the No. 1 jersey Bosh wore will be retired. On top of that, the Heat have set up a five-year payment plan to honor the contract they agreed upon with Chris Bosh.
And it’s quite the golden parachute.
Chris Bosh will be paid the $52.1M left on his contract in 120 twice-monthly installments of $434,393 – staring 11/15/17 and ending 11/1/22.

While this situation has been tough on both Bosh and the Heat — Bosh battling through a blood clotting issue in his leg for well over a year — Miami is handling things with an extraordinary amount of class.
We can’t wait to see Bosh’s No. 1 jersey hanging from the rafters in Miami some day very soon.
