Buccaneers DT Gerald McCoy wearing ‘Incredible Hulk’ cleats at practice

He can’t do it during actual football games, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy took advantage of more liberal practice rules during camp to show off these absolutely amazing cleats.

Yes, you’re looking at Incredible Hulk cleats from the 300-pound fully grown defensive tackle. And they are pretty darn awesome.

Maybe this is McCoy’s way of looking to give himself a new nickname. Throughout the first seven years of his career, the five-time Pro Bowler has simply gone by Geraldini. That’s been pretty much to his chagrin.

Hulk makes a bit more sense in that McCoy has been absolutely dominant for the Buccaneers as of late. He’s coming off a 2016 campaign in which he recorded 6.5 sacks, five passes defended and two fumble recoveries en route to earning a fifth consecutive Pro Bowl nod.

“Hulk not think. Hulk smash.”

Seems fitting.
