Houston Rockets guard James Harden has been putting up remarkable stats all year long, so it’s not surprising he set a new NBA record Sunday.
With his 12th assist, James Harden became the first player EVER to score 2,000 points and pass for 2,000 points in the same season.

While not as complete a player as say, Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs, who actually plays hard on both ends of the floor, Harden is a marvel on offense.
The dynamic scoring guard went into Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder — a team with a remarkable player of its own in Russell Westbrook — Harden was averaging 29.5 points, 11.3 assists and eight rebounds per game.
