Astros’ Triple-A affiliate to honor legendary music during promotional nights

The minor league affiliates of any team go all out when it comes to their promotional nights. They’re fun, bring the community together and you can always leave with an auctioned specialty jersey.

Last year, the Binghamton Mets hosted a “Netflix and Chill” night. And in the same season, the Stockton Ports hosted an “Asparagus Night” (yes, that was an actual thing.)

Now, with the release of their promotional events this season, the Fresno Grizzles — Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros — will be hosting some interesting jerseys to celebrate music.

One of their jerseys will be “backward” to celebrate the rap duo Kriss Kross on “90’s night.”

I hope someone records the guys trying to put these on because we’re already confused.

To add to the music theme, on Thursday, June 1st, the team will host “Classic Vinyl Night” with Sgt. Peppers uniforms in honor of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the iconic band’s eighth studio album.

The entire promotional calendar for the Grizzlies can be found here. And trust us, you’ll want to get tickets soon.
