New York Jets legend Joe Namath has never hesitated to speak his mind, good or bad, as it concerns his old team.

After watching Bryce Petty take one of the most vicious hits we’ve seen in a while on a play in which Ndamukong Suh and Cam Wake literally smashed into him from opposite sides at the exact same time (watch here), the former quarterback was asked an interesting question.

Namath responded with a zinger, aimed directly at the atrocity that is New York’s offensive line.

At this point, we’re wondering if Ryan Fitzpatrick, Christian Hackenberg, Petty and anyone else who might line up behind center wouldn’t agree with Namath’s answer wholeheartedly. Nobody wants to take abuse, which is what the Jets’ offensive line has been allowing of late.

As it concerns Petty, the team announced that he had the air knocked out of him on the play. But after watching him take those hits and then seeing him go back into the locker room after throwing a few balls afterwards, we wonder if he’s dealing with multiple cracked ribs as well.
