The Los Angeles Rams are a special kind of mess under head coach Jeff Fisher. On Monday Rams legend Eric Dickerson revealed he had been told by the Rams that he was no longer welcome on the team’s sideline because his recent criticism made players uncomfortable.
This revelation sent Rams executive vice president of football operations Kevin Demoff into spin control mode. He shortly afterwards sent a series of tweets out in an attempt to smooth things over with Dickerson.
Later on Monday night, Dickerson further clarified his position on the radio, saying it was Fisher himself who told him he was not welcome on the sidelines and that he would never again attend a Rams game while Fisher remained the head coach (more on that here).
Then on Monday morning, Mike Garafolo of NFL.com passed along this information that most certainly backs up everything Dickerson had said.
Fisher says Dickerson is welcome and can be critical but if he's critical, don't expect sideline passes in return. https://t.co/1wgERgAoVH

Dickerson is sick and tired of watching his beloved Rams continually lose. It’s been since 2003 than the organization experienced a winning season, and the Rams have gone 31-43-1 under Fisher, who is a mere three games away from breaking the NFL’s all-time record for most losses by a single head coach.
Fisher needs to be fired. He is a bad head coach who hasn’t led an NFL team to a winning record since 2008 when he was with the Tennessee Titans.
The stance towards Dickerson is just one more reason that it’s time for Fisher to be replaced in Los Angeles.
