Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas injured New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski during their Week 10 battle on a tremendous hit to the midsection.
Here’s the play that has Gronkowski dealing with pain (initially reported as a punctured lung) and that he says was the one of hardest hits he’s ever absorbed.

Thankfully it’s nothing as serious as that, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
On Tuesday, Thomas tweeted out a supportive message to Gronk in which he said he has “nothing but respect” for him.
Nothing but respect for Gronk. One of the best I've lined up against. Hoping to see him back on the field sooner than later.

This kind of competitive camaraderie is something we love to see. There is no animosity between these two stars, just a healthy respect between two players that could potentially meet up in the Super Bowl after the season is over for the second time in three years.
