Report: Rob Gronkowski has punctured lung, could miss just one game

Rob Gronkowski

The New England Patriots lost more than just a game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. They have also reportedly lost star tight end Rob Gronkowski for at least a week.

This is certainly a big story.

It’s unclear where Gronkowski got hurt. He was forced out of action for a few plays following a hit from Earl Thomas. But on that play, a potential concussion seemed to be the bigger concern for Gronk. In general, Gronk didn’t seem quite himself against the Legion of Boom.

The good news for New England is that if Gronk is going to get hurt, it’s happening at the right time of the year. The Patriots next three games are on the road against the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets, then at home against the Los Angeles Rams. Through Week 10, those three teams have a combined record of 8-20, with two of the eight wins coming against one of the other two squads.
