The wait for Sam Bradford to take center stage in Minnesota could end this week.
It appears that the Vikings are working towards getting Bradford out to start against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Charley Walters from the Pioneer Press said that Bradford took all of the first-team reps in Wednesday’s practice.
The Vikings had veteran Shaun Hill start in Week 1. This is because Bradford was not quite up to speed with the team’s playbook. Hill delivered an underwhelming performance when he completed 18-of-33 passes for 236 yards and zero touchdowns.
The Vikings won by a sizable margin against the Tennessee Titans primarily due to the team’s defensive effort.
After not one offensive touchdown was scored, we can guess the Vikings are anxious to get Bradford under center. If that is the case, things should improve. Bradford is definitely an upgrade over Hill and he inherits a promising group of players on offense.
This should also allow Adrian Peterson to get the ground game thriving again as well.
The Vikings will play their first regular game in their new home stadium. If Bradford starts, he will face the Packers defense that just allowed Blake Bortles to pass for 300 yards and one touchdown in the season opener.
