Drew Brees and Brandin Cooks have connected for the day’s longest play. While it’s only Week 1, it’s hard to imagine any play topping this one all year.

Having their backs up to their own goal line obviously did nothing to scare Brees, Cooks and the New Orleans Saints.
The Oakland Raiders’ defense was obviously expecting a run or a conservative pass. Otherwise, there’s no possible explanation for not having a safety back closer to the top New Orleans receiver.
The Saints lead the Raiders 24-10.
