It appears that Buffalo Bills top receiver Sammy Watkins is slated to make his preseason debut this upcoming Friday.
Rex expects Sammy to play against Washington. Won't play a lot but we believe he's ready. #Bills

Watkins has been healing from an off-season foot surgery to repair a stress fracture. He was removed from the team’s physically unable to perform (PUP) list on August 8 after passing his physical.
When healthy, Watkins is a top-10 wide receiver. Hopefully for the Bills’ sake, their former first-rounder remains healthy all season.
This is most definitely some good news for a Bills team that’s been dealt a pretty crappy hand during the summer. The team was forced to release Karlos Williams after he showed up out of shape.
Meanwhile, star defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is currently in rehab after being handed a four-game suspensions for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
If Watkins is able to remain 100 percent throughout the season, it’s going to be huge for the recently extended Tyrod Taylor under center. Buffalo has the talent to succeed on offense. It’s now all about everyone remaining upright.
In this, the most-recent news involving Watkins has to be considered great.
