The Jacksonville Jaguars are apparently continuing their solid off-season work. Fresh off a great free-agent period and an even better draft, the team has reportedly signed up-and-coming wide receiver Allen Hurns to a four-year extension.

If the long-term deal is somewhere near the $10 million annually that Pro Football Talk is reporting, Jacksonville likely got a huge steal here.

Hurns, 24, joined fellow Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson in tallying 1,000-plus yards for the team’s talented offense a season ago. All said, the former Miami (F) standout and un-drafted free agent recorded 64 receptions for 1,031 yards and 10 scores.

This came on the heels of a solid rookie campaign that saw Hurns put up 51 catches for 677 yards and six scores.

It’s a solid overall move for a young Jaguars team that’s on the verge of becoming a real player in the AFC South, possibly as early as this upcoming season. Making one of their best young players happy surely won’t hurt the team.
