With just a few hours remaining until free agency around the NFL officially opens, the New York Giants have reportedly netted themselves one of the biggest prizes available.
According to NFL Media’s Rand Getlin, the Giants will sign Los Angeles Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins when teams can officially make moves starting at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday:
I'm told CB Janoris Jenkins will sign with the #Giants when the market opens.

The Rams made the rather curious decision to place the franchise tag on Trumaine Johnson rather than Jenkins, leaving the latter free to sign with another team.
This left Jenkins as the top corner on the market.
Beating out multiple teams for Jenkins’ services, including the aforementioned Rams as well as the Oakland Raiders, is a pretty big coup for New York.
Jenkins, 27, has started 58 of a possible 64 games with the Rams since being selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft.
He’s recorded 48 passes defended, 10 interceptions and a whopping six touchdowns in four seasons. Jenkins put up 64 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble for a darn good Rams pass defense this past year.
With this addition, the Giants are likely to let fellow corner Prince Amukamara walk in free agency.
