Fans of the New England Patriots, avert your eyes. Tom Brady hobbling away from the podiumĀ is not a sight that you want to see.
Tom Brady a little hobbled? https://t.co/S04IV6O59n

This likely comes from a nasty shot from Ndamukong Suh that Brady took during Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins.
This was about as scary as it gets for Patriots fans: https://t.co/HQJlB14qVC pic.twitter.com/vbzcumknRT

An injury to Brady would of course be bad at any time, but especially so rightĀ now with the playoffs coming up next.
New England’s roster has already been depleted across the board. The quarterback position has actually been one of the few spots of consistent health for the Patriots.
There is some good news for New England and their fans. While the severity of the injury is still unknown and the Patriots might have lost the No. 1 seed, they do have a bye week secure, meaning Brady won’t be needed until Saturday, Jan. 16 at the absolute earliest.
Until then, you can bet that this situation will be monitored very closely in New England and really, throughout the NFL. A hobbled Brady, even if he plays, only makes the AFC playoffs even more wide open and less predictable.
