Legendary quarterback Brett Favre will be inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame this Saturday. As Someone who learned a lot while working under Favre, Aaron Rodgers has nothing but well wishes for the retired signal caller:
“He brought a lot great energy and enthusiasm to practice,” Rodgers said in an interview that will air on NFL Network’s NFL Total Access Friday. “And to the locker room and that’s kind of an under-appreciated part of leadership and being a quarterback I think.”
“I feel like things have definitely warmed up over the few years. I hope he gets the reception he deserves. I’m sure he will.”
The two most recently were seen together when Favre awkwardly presented Rodgers with the “NFL Best Player” award prior to the start of Wednesday’s ESPYS.
The Packers have had excellent luck with franchise quarterbacks. Rodgers benefited from learning from one of the best while working behind Favre from 2005 through 2007. Favre left a legendary marking in Green Bay for the 16 years he played, passing for a phenomenal 61,655 yards and 442 touchdowns in 255 games.
Favre’s retirement ceremony will be covered by the NFL Network on Saturday starting at 8:00 p.m.
