The ESPYS took place on Wednesday and a couple of winners were pre-awarded before the show officially started. One of the awards handed out was for “Best NFL Player.” In an awkward moment, former quarterback Brett Favre dethroned his stool—nearly falling in the process—to grab for a trophy to hand Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

After Rodgers collected the trophy, he stated this:
“Brett, you came all the way out here for this, huh.”
Favre replied:
“Yeah, I did.”
It’s definitely questionable as to whether Favre might have been sipping on a little pre-award bubbly after watching this epic episode.
