According to a report from ESPN, unemployed defensive end Michael Sam has accepted an invite to participate in the first ever NFL Veteran Combine.
Sam was originally selected in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft by the St. Louis Rams. After being among the final roster cuts prior to the season, Sam signed to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. He was then released in October.
Recently added to ABC’s cast for Dancing with the Stars, Sam has reported that he will prioritize the Veteran Scouting Combine and any potential team visits over anything else.
