DeMarcus Ware on Peyton Manning’s Return: “Just Needs Time to Calm the Brain Down”

Ever since the Denver Broncos lost in the divisional playoffs last weekend, questions have surrounded Peyton Manning’s future with the team.

With a complete coaching overhaul taking place in Denver this week and Manning’s future up in the air, Broncos’ defensive end DeMarcus Ware displayed confidence that the future Hall of Famer will return in 2015 (via NFL.com).

Me and Peyton will always talk back and forth about things. Now he’s just looking forward to the next season and how we can get better. I think he’ll be back. I feel like he still has a couple years in him.

He just needs time to get healthy, rest. Calm the brain down. Turn it off a little bit and then hit the restart button once it’s time.

With changes coming to Denver in the offseason due to the departure of John Fox and nearly every other coaching staff member, Ware doesn’t seem too worried.

Sometimes, I think for me, I’ve been with at least five defensive coordinators throughout my career (and) a lot of head coaches. And each year, you always think about, Is it going to get worse because it’s a new change?

But you have to embrace the change and say, What can I do with what I have?’ And then you always come out on top.

Great comments from a stand-up guy. However, for the Broncos to come out on top, they’re going to need Manning in the mix.
