Report: LeBron James to Sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers

The long American horror story that was “Decision 2.0” may have finally come to an end. All-Star forward and two-time NBA champion LeBron James has reportedly agreed to take his talents back to Cleveland and sign with the Cavaliers.

According to Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops, James chose the Cleveland Cavaliers over the Miami Heat.

Rarely can one player change the dynamic of the NBA with just one move, but it’s apprent that’s what James did this summer. Other top-tier free agents were in a holding pattern, waiting until James made his decision. In addition to that, the all-everything forward changes the landscape of the Eastern Conference once again.

It remains to be seen what the Cavaliers will do to build an even better team heading into the 2014-2015 season, but you have to believe that James will get some sort of guarantee before signing on the dotted line. They have reportedly offered Andrew Wiggins to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a package for power forward Kevin Love.

Of course, James is expected to make the official announcement on his personal website. Until then, anything can happen.

Update from ESPN’s Chris Broussard suggests that no decision will be made tonight.

Others have also chimed in and indicated that James will ultimately speak with his family prior to making a final decision.
