Calvin Johnson Will Continue Dunking

Detroit Lions, Calvin Johnson

To dunk, or not to dunk? The NFL’s new rule about goal post dunking isn’t going to take away Calvin Johnson’s fun. According to ESPN,

“I’m still going to dunk,” Johnson told the Detroit Free Press. “I just won’t touch the rim.”

It would appear Johnson has found a small loophole in the NFL’s new no goalpost dunking rule, for which they claim shows unsportsmanlike conduct on the field.

Over the course of Johnson’s seven-year career with the Detroit Lions, he has caught 66 touchdown passes, 12 of those came from last season. In my opinion, taking away the dunk takes away a lot of fun of watching the touchdowns in the first place.

Do you think Megatron can pull off his dunk without touching the goalpost to avoid the NFL penalties?
