The Pittsburgh Steelers may have dodged a major bullet when it comes to recently-extended star defensive tackle Stephon Tuitt. The veteran exited Sunday’s win over the Cleveland Browns with what many feared to be torn biceps, which would have effectively ended his season.
Fortunately for Pittsburgh, it looks like Tuitt avoided the serious injury and might be able to go Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Tomlin: It is possible Tuitt can play Sunday vs. Vikings

Tuitt, 24, just recently signed a massive five-year, $60 million extension immediately prior to the start of the regular season (more on that here).
He’s considered one of the best pass-rushing defensive linemen in the entire game. It would have been a major blow for the Steelers if their defense had to take the field without him for the remainder of the season. Tuitt recorded 37 tackles and four sacks last season.
