Former Pro Bowl CB Brandon Browner arrested for making criminal threats

A former member of the Legion of Boom is finding himself in the news for all the wrong reasons off the field. Out of the NFL since last summer, former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested Monday night in Los Angeles for allegedly making criminal threat against a woman.

“The former Pro Bowl cornerback — part of the original Legion of Boom — was booked for allegedly making criminal threats, a felony. Sources tell us the alleged victim is a woman,” TMZ Sports reported Tuesday morning.

Browner was ultimately releasead on $50,000 bail.

The 30-year-old defensive back is best known for his three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He started 36 games during that span, recording nine interceptions and earning a Pro Bowl appearance his rookie season.

Browner then moved on to the New England Patriots, defeating his ex-Seahawks team in the Super Bowl following the 2014 regular season. Ultimately, Browner would bomb out in the NFL. He spent 2015 with the Saints and attempted to convert to safety in Seattle prior to last season, before being released by the team.

Needless to say, Browner’s career appears to be over.
