Blake Griffin was once known as one of the NBA’s most exciting above-the-rim players. Now he’s eyeing Duke’s Zion Williamson to take the crown.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Griffin not only said he thinks Williamson can be the NBA’s best dunker right now, he thinks the young superstar can “100 percent” be the GOAT over the likes of Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins: “If he keeps playing like he is, he’s going to be a monster,” Griffin said.

While that is quite the statement given Williamson hasn’t yet stepped foot onto an NBA court, we understand why Griffin would say such a thing. Williamson supplied ample evidence of his high-flying prowess last season at Duke putting up highlight-reel dunk after highlight-reel dunk on a nightly basis.

Likely the future No. 1 overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, Williamson has the talent to become an instant star, much like LeBron James did as a rookie. And based on the way he was a fixture on highlight shows nationally during his lone season at Duke, we expect nothing less than the same next season in the NBA.
