Police investigating Baltimore Ravens’ Zay Flowers for alleged domestic assault

Star Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers finds himself in some hot water with authorities in Maryland.

According to The Baltimore Banner, Flowers is under investigation for an alleged domestic assault that is said to have occurred in the Owings Mills area on Jan. 21. The alleged incident came one day after Baltimore defeated the Houston Texans in the NFL Divisional Playoffs.

Per the aforementioned report, the investigation also includes a police department in Acton, Massachusetts.

“When asked if they were investigating Flowers, Baltimore County Police also acknowledged that the department had been made aware of an alleged assault in the Owings Mills area on Jan. 21. A spokesman said the matter was pending and the department would not release additional details at this time.”

As of publication of this article, Flowers has not been charged with a crime. A Ravens spokesperson did not respond to questions from The Baltimore Banner about the investigation.

A first-round pick out of Boston College in the 2023 NFL Draft, Flowers recorded 77 receptions for 858 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens have a zero-tolerance policy on domestic violence situations since the entire Ray Rice situation a decade ago.
