The New York Yankees’ bullpen injury woes continue, with the club placing right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga on the injured list Wednesday with shoulder discomfort.

On Tuesday, the Yankees placed left-hander Aroldis Chapman on the IL with left Achilles tendonitis. Chad Green and Luis Gil also are headed for Tommy John surgery.

Loaisiga, 27, is 1-2 with a 7.02 ERA in 18 relief outings this season. He is 17-8 over five career seasons with a 3.73 ERA in 111 appearances (11 starts), all with the Yankees.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Loaisiga has undergone tests the past couple of days and likens the injury to one the pitcher had last season, although less severe. Boone did not say that an MRI has been scheduled and labeled the IL move as more precautionary.
