The New York Yankees need everyone healthy as the season draws to a conclusion.

They are currently in the midst of a four-game series with the Boston Red Sox and have been blown out in each of the first two outings.

Unfortunately, MVP candidate DJ LeMahieu might be sidelined for some time. The infielder felt something in his groin during Friday’s game and was scratched from Saturday’s lineup. He aso received an MRI on the groin.

The groin and an MRI. These are two terms that should concern a team.

LeMahieu, 31, has been absolutely tremendous in his first season with the Yankees. He currently leads the AL with a .331 average while hitting 15 homers and driving in 71 runs.

The hope here is that his MRI comes back negative. We’ll have updates as they become available.
