A new report has offered up some insight on where WWE might be going with what seems like an alliance between Logan Paul and the heel faction, The Vision.

The way WWE Raw began was very different than how it ended on Monday night. The show began with CM Punk returning to the top of the mountain on Mondays following his World Heavyweight title win this weekend. However, he was interrupted by the social media influencer turned wrestling star.

It seemed like a potential match between Paul and Punk might be set up for his first title defense. But instead, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed showed up to let both know that either of them was next in line for a title shot. It led to a dustup between Breakker, Reed, and Punk, and Paul actually trying to help the champ after he was disrespected by the heel faction.

Unfortunately, the rare moment of kindness from Paul backfired, and he was beaten down by the duo. Later in the show, Punk was in danger of getting taken out by the Brons following a tag team main event. Paul emerged, and it seemed like he was looking to even the odds and help Punk. Instead, he hit him with a knockout blow using brass knuckles.

After he left the champ lying, Paul then handed the knucks over to Heyman in what seemed like a show of good faith and a nod to a potential business relationship between Logan Paul and The Vision. WWE fans might assume things could culminate with a title match between Paul and Punk later this month at Survivor Series. However, it seems the company is going with a more formal alliance between the three stars at the premium live event.

“Seth’s replacement in WarGames is going to be Logan Paul,” Dave Meltzer reported on a new episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer claimed the trio would likely face a team featuring Punk, Roman Reigns, the Usos, and potentially LA Knight or Jacob Fatu. There had been rumblings that the Vision would be in this year’s men’s War Games match. However, some wondered if plans might change after Seth Rollins suffered a serious shoulder injury last month.

There have also been rumors that Brock Lesnar could also be a part of the heel team in the 2025 War Games match.
