Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has broken his silence regarding the persistent rumors of his involvement in WrestleMania 43, the historic 2027 event set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During a recent interview with Raffi Boghosian of Raffi Talks, the WWE icon and TKO board member expressed his enthusiasm for the landmark show, which will mark the first time WrestleMania has been held outside of North America.

While Johnson stopped short of an official confirmation for a match, his comments regarding ongoing negotiations were notably positive. “I’m excited for the brand of WrestleMania, I’m excited for the Kingdom because that is a big show… I can’t wait.

In terms of the conversations I’ve been having, it’s all good. It will always be good,” The Rock stated. Reports suggest that Saudi officials, led by General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh, are heavily courting Johnson for a main-event showdown against either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.

The financial stakes for this appearance are reportedly unprecedented. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, if a deal is finalized, The Rock is expected to receive the highest single-match payday in professional wrestling history.

It’s a figure described as being “multiple times” higher than any previous record. The Rock has not competed in a WWE ring since his tag team victory alongside Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024.
