While we are still months away from WrestleMania 42, a new rumor has revealed the huge matchup Stephanie Vaquer is being lined up for.
This has been a big year for former NXT champion Stephanie Vaquer. After dominating the black and gold brand to begin 2025, she moved up to the WWE main roster in May and has quickly become one of the faces of the women’s division.
Her recent victories over elite stars like Iyo Sky and Tiffany Stratton are the biggest pieces of evidence for how high WWE management is on the Chilean star. The big creative push she has gotten this year isn’t likely to stop anytime soon, and according to a new report, there have already been discussions about Vaquer getting a featured match at WrestleMania 42 next year.

According to BodySlam.net, there are already two prominent stars being looked at as potential opponents for the current Women’s World Champion in April. The first is someone who has developed a friendly relationship with Vaquer since her move up to Raw, and that is former World champ Rhea Ripley. A title match between them at the two-night event could be a show stealer.
However, the report also claims that current Women’s Intercontinental Champion and WWE legend Becky Lynch is being looked at as a potential foe for Vaquer at WrestleMania. A clash between Vaquer and Lynch should also deliver a good match, but mixing it up with the future Hall of Famer would elevate the rising star’s status in a major way.
WrestleMania 42 takes place on April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas. Stephanie Vaquer is now entering a new program with friend turned enemy, Nikki Bella, after the WWE Hall of Famer attacked the champ on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.
