Stephanie Vaquer is facing an extended absence from WWE television. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that the former Women’s World Champion is on the shelf for the foreseeable future, with no timetable for a return widely known within the company.

Internal rumblings have pointed to a minimum six-week absence, though that figure is described as speculative. There is optimism that Vaquer could be back for SummerSlam, but that outcome is not guaranteed.

The injury stems from a backstage attack on Raw in which Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, acting alongside Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, targeted Vaquer with an equipment box to the shoulder. Michael Cole announced on commentary that Vaquer had suffered a second-degree AC sprain as a result of the attack and would be out for a period of time.

Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com confirmed the injury is legitimate, noting it likely corresponds to the sprain referenced on air. The specific origin of the shoulder issue has not been confirmed, raising the possibility that the injury predated the Raw angle and that the attack was used to write Vaquer off television in a way that could be addressed upon her return.

A second-degree AC sprain involves a partial tear of the acromioclavicular ligament in the shoulder and typically requires several weeks to a few months of recovery, depending on severity and the demands placed on the joint during rehabilitation. The timing adds to what has already been a difficult post-WrestleMania 42 stretch for Vaquer.

Bodyslam reported that her Women’s World Championship match against Morgan on Night 1 was kept shorter than planned because both performers were already dealing with physical issues heading into the event. Vaquer lost the title to Morgan that night. As of this writing, Vaquer has yet to publicly comment on her injury status.
