Roman Reigns‘ post-WrestleMania 42 path is beginning to take shape.

According to new information from Bodyslam, Gunther and Oba Femi are both expected to be part of Reigns’ upcoming feuds as WWE maps out its next phase of top-level rivalries following the event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The Gunther direction carries particular weight, given the additional sourcing behind it. Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that a program between Reigns and Gunther has already been discussed internally as a major direction for the company going forward, aligning with Bodyslam’s reporting and suggesting the idea has genuine traction behind the scenes rather than being early-stage speculation.

Gunther comes out of WrestleMania 42 having faced Seth Rollins on Night One, and a program with Reigns would represent one of the most high-profile matchups WWE could do, given the star power on both sides. The two have not had a prolonged feud, and with Reigns continuing to operate at the top of the card, Gunther’s positioning makes him a logical next target.

Oba Femi, meanwhile, has been one of WWE’s most aggressively pushed emerging stars over the past year. His WrestleMania 42 match against Brock Lesnar on Night Two represented a test for the former NXT Champion, and a feud with Reigns would mark the next step in establishing him as a legitimate top-level presence on the main roster. Perhaps, WWE would even consider having him be Reigns’ last challenger and potentially go over Reigns to win the title months down the line.

No timeline for either feud has been confirmed publicly, and the order in which WWE pursues these programs remains unclear. What the reporting does indicate is that WWE already has a clear vision for how Reigns fits into the landscape beyond WrestleMania, with two of the company’s most interesting available opponents already identified as part of that picture.
