WWE’s plans for their ongoing masked man storyline hit a significant roadblock following a serious injury to Bronson Reed. During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Reed suffered a distal bicep tear while competing in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

The injury occurred mid-match as Reed dove to break up a pinfall attempt involving Jey Uso and El Grande Americano. Despite the visible distress and the referee signaling the “X” to indicate a legitimate medical emergency, the match was finished on the fly, with Uso securing the victory.

According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, Reed was the original choice to go over and claim the final spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. When it became clear that Reed could not continue, officials reportedly instructed the remaining competitors to improvise a new ending. Reed was immediately transported to Birmingham, Alabama, following the broadcast to undergo evaluation and potential surgery.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that the big man is expected to be out indefinitely, delivering a blow on the “Road to WrestleMania” as he was being positioned for a prominent role in Las Vegas.

Beyond the immediate tournament implications, Reed’s absence has reportedly derailed a notable storyline involving the mysterious masked man terrorizing members of The Vision. Sources indicate that both the mystery individual and Logan Paul were scheduled to play a role in the outcome of the qualifying match on Raw.

With Reed sidelined, WWE will allegedly be forced to rewrite significant portions of this angle, which many fans believe could lead to the return of Seth Rollins. The injury is the latest in a string of setbacks for The Vision faction.

Rollins remains out with a torn rotator cuff, and Bron Breakker recently underwent hernia surgery. Dave Meltzer of the Reed had been the focal point of the group in the absence of the other members.
