A Tom Brady appearance at WWE WrestleMania 42 is possible, but nothing has been agreed to yet.

Rumors have swirled after weeks of back-and-forth between Brady and WWE talent that has been widely understood as a worked angle designed to build toward the April event. Brady and Logan Paul have been exchanging words publicly over recent weeks in connection with the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, which took place over the weekend.

In the process, Brady took repeated shots at WWE, calling professional wrestling “cute and scripted,” which prompted responses from multiple WWE wrestlers. The exchange generated attention and fueled speculation that it was all building toward a WrestleMania payoff.

Dave Meltzer addressed the situation directly on Wrestling Observer Radio by stating,”From what I have been told, they are in negotiations with Tom Brady — but there is absolutely not a deal at this point for Tom Brady. So it could happen. Obviously, Logan Paul and Tom Brady are working. I mean, everyone knows they’re working the angle. I think people have seen that coming in.

But there could be something in some form at WrestleMania. It would not be a surprise. And what they did in the football game was clearly to build it. Just as all the talk of Tom Brady cutting down pro wrestlers and the wrestlers all responding — that is all storyline. That is not like Tom Brady’s a d**k and he doesn’t respect pro wrestling.”

WrestleVotes first reported earlier this month that WWE and Brady had already held discussions about a possible WrestleMania appearance, and that departments within WWE had begun working on materials, including logos, specialty merchandise, and branding connected to Brady.

Brady’s connection to Las Vegas adds another layer to why a WrestleMania role would make sense. He is a part-owner of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, whose home stadium, Allegiant Stadium, is hosting WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and 19. It marks the second consecutive year the event has been held at the venue.
