The rumored induction comes as Cena nears the conclusion of his WWE Farewell Tour, which is set to end with his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C.. The decision to honor Cena immediately following his retirement underscores his long-standing legacy as one of the biggest names in the history of the Stamford-based promotion.
According to Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline, the belief among industry insiders is that “Cena is very likely the 2026 Hall of Fame main eventer”. The Hall of Fame ceremony traditionally takes place in April ahead of WrestleMania, with the 2026 event being held in Las Vegas.
This potential induction comes after Cena wrestled his final match on Monday Night Raw on November 17, where he teamed with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to defeat The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh.

Cena’s final appearances are heavily focused on the championship that had previously eluded him: the Intercontinental Championship. The “Cenation Leader” won the title last week against Dominik Mysterio.
