After months of rumors, one of the most predictable company changes in professional wrestling is now official. According to Fightful, former TNA Wrestling champ Joe Hendry has put pen to paper on a contract with WWE. It is a jump that Hendry has wanted for years, and the interest from WWE increased exponentially over the last year. Now, with the popular star officially a part of the roster, let’s take a look at eight matches and feuds we need to see Hendry in over the coming years.

Randy Orton

Hendry’s introduction to many fans came at this year’s WrestleMania when he was Randy Orton’s surprise opponent. And despite never facing each other before, they delivered an entertaining match. Running that back for an extended feud to make the most of their unique chemistry and elevate the former TNA champ is a must for WWE.

Damian Priest

Chokeslam finishers have been a staple in WWE for a couple of decades. Right now, the lone star on the main roster using it is Damian Priest. A variation of the move is also Hendry’s finisher. The two current masters of the chokeslam in WWE going toe-to-toe to see who has the better one could be intriguing. Similar to the epic powerbomb battles in the ’90s between Diesel and Sycho Sid.

Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio has quickly become one of the best heels on the WWE roster. With Hendry being the ultimate good guy, the pair facing off in a feud would deliver some very entertaining encounters, especially with Hendry able to appear anywhere like Captain Marvel (Shazam to casual fans). Plus, the matches would be good.

Drew McIntyre

Hendry has huge potential in WWE. It would not be shocking if his popularity carried him to a world title down the road. That would make him the second biggest WWE success to ever come out of Scotland. So why not a feud with the most famous wrestler ever from that country, Drew McIntyre? A battle for Scottish supremacy, especially if it happened in their homeland, smells like a lot of money.

Chris Jericho

Is Chris Jericho on the WWE roster? No. He is currently an AEW contracted talent. However, all signs point to a WWE return to begin 2026. Hendry needs to face entertaining legends to help build his legacy in the company. Jericho could do that in a big way while creating some memorable moments in between matches.

El Grande Americano

The Ludwig Kaiser version of El Grande Americano has quickly become one of the most unique characters on the WWE roster. We all know who is under the mask, but we have bought into Kaiser’s excellent approach. Hendry is also a unique character and very comical. A clash between them could be shockingly fun as well as a great showcase of European wrestling.

Miz

Similar to Mysterio, The Miz has always been very good at being a hateable bad guy. Furthermore, the future Hall of Famer is the sort of opponent Joe Hendry has to take on to elevate his brand, especially with victories. A feud with The Miz would check off a couple of important boxes in WWE’s journey to build the Scottsman into a main event talent.

Logan Paul

A future world title match between Logan Paul and Hendry just seems like an eventuality. Paul is just too talented not to hold a top title one day if he stays consistent with developing his wrestling talents. Hendry feels like the perfect ying to the Americans’ yang. They are polar opposites that are sure to clash at some point down the road, and it could deliver some great television for WWE.
