It sure looks like WWE may be slowly working towards reuniting the best version of the Bloodline, including Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn.
A case could be made that the Bloodline saga that began in the summer of 2021 and seemingly ended a few weeks after WrestleMania 40 in 2024 was the greatest storyline in wrestling history. Sure, the nWo took the industry and pop culture by storm in the late 1990s, but it didn’t have the dramatic moments that grabbed the hearts and minds of fans like the WWE storyline did.
However, like all good things — including the nWo — they come to an end. And while there was Sikoa’s version of the Bloodline and a pseudo-reunion at Survivor Series in 2024, the Bloodline story seemed to be over. Or so we thought.
After winning the World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania 42 in April, Roman Reigns formed fresh alliances with his family again. He quickly made amends with the first two members of the faction, the Usos. Then, after a violent feud with Jacob Fatu, the “Samoan Werewolf” joined the group as his new enforcer.
Yet, it doesn’t look like Reigns is done expanding the 2.0 version of the Bloodline. On a recent episode of SmackDown, Fatu passed on a message to Sikoa: Reigns wants him to come home. However, the former United States champion and leader of the MFT has declined the offer. But this week’s episode of the show pushed him closer to a return to the faction.
Is Solo Sikoa’s return to the Bloodline inevitable?

Sikoa’s MFT brothers, Tama Tonga and Tala Tonga, informed him that they received approval from “the elders” and cut ties with their faction leader. The rest of SmackDown told a story that the man who has only known being in factions on the main roster is now completely alone, with no friends. Could we now get Sikoa’s first run on the main roster without allies? Possibly. But it sure seems more likely that he will crawl his way back to his cousin and brothers.
But if Sikoa returned to the Bloodline, are they really going to have two enforcers? Probably not. From the moment he joined the faction, it has always seemed like this storyline is a vehicle to make Fatu a bigger star. Just like Jey Uso’s Bloodline exit was about turning him into a solo star. Sooner or later, Fatu will leave the group, and they will be back to their first four: Reigns, the Usos, and Sikoa.
Could Sami Zayn eventually return to the Bloodline?

However, when the faction was at its best, it was when it included an honorary uce. The group was a force for over a year and a half, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2022 that it soared to new heights as Zayn tried to prove worthy of joining the all-Samoan team. His efforts to earn respect while bringing levity to the group made the Bloodline story the hottest thing pro wrestling has seen in over two decades.
When he eventually chose real friendship over faction loyalty at Survivor Series 2022, Zayn’s career took off, and he would go on to have some major professional successes. Yet, his career has plateaued over the last year and a half. While he will compete for the WWE Championship on Saturday at Night of Champions, he is not expected to win.
Assuming WWE doesn’t pull the trigger on a shocking win, Zayn’s career has stalled out and could use a new direction. Could that be a return to the Bloodline? Reigns has always had a soft spot for Zayn because of his willingness to make the sacrifices needed, despite not being a family member.
It is probably a long shot, but there are certainly signs that WWE may be working their way towards a 2.0 edition of the best version of the Bloodline. Furthermore, business was never better than when that version of the group existed. With parent company TKO always looking to boost profits, it would not be surprising if they pushed for the return of the money-making faction.
