A new report has come out from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter regarding the future of NJPW star Gabe Kidd. That is the fact that his contract expires at the end of January unless the two sides can work out a new contract.

Per the report, Kidd is drawing significant attention from both WWE and AEW. One can only assume that TNA will also have interest now that they have a lucrative TV deal with AMC that begins this week. Kidd made a name for himself as a focal point of the Bullet Club War Dogs and could create a bidding war among the US’s top wrestling promotions.

Let’s look at why Kidd should seriously consider the offers that may come from the three companies.

AEW

When it comes to Kidd, he would naturally fit better in AEW. The roster the promotion has in place would give him the best matches possible. For a promotion that loves to tout it has the best wrestlers and it’s where the best wrestle, Kidd would certainly be among the best that All Elite Wrestling has to offer.

Kidd is not someone who will stand out from the pack. Instead, he is someone who can draw you in with his promotions, gets you, the consumer, to pay good money to see him lose. He is also one of the best wrestlers on the planet.  Should he go with AEW, he can still work dates for NJPW, a promotion that he clearly loves working for. If he wanted the best of both worlds, AEW would be the perfect landing spot.

WWE

WWE has been and will likely forever be the biggest game in town. The company is where the majority of wrestlers want to end up and try to make it as a big star. For that, WWE does make sense for Kidd if his goal is to be on the biggest platform in the world.

WWE gives him the chance to be the face of NXT before moving to the main roster and be given a chance. His floor is high and ceiling even higher, with the chance of him becoming a main eventer who can be slotted in any role and deliver the goods.

TNA

TNA is a very interesting option for Kidd because they need all the star power they can get right now. They’re about to make their debut on AMC and need to make a statement right out of the gate. What better way than on the debut episode, or soon thereafter, sign one of the biggest stars on the free agent market?

It would be even more impressive to know that they were able to swing Kidd their way, away from the bigger promotions in WWE and AEW. By signing with TNA, it’s almost a guaranteed lock that he would immediately be positioned as a main event challenger for the TNA World Title. If he wants to be the guy right out of the gate, TNA is the place.
