In a Truth post on Saturday, President Donald Trump had another senior moment when he showed love for Hulk Hogan by calling him a parody name he was given when he was on bad terms with WWE.
Hogan is one of the greatest performers professional wrestling has ever had. There is a reason he is called the Babe Ruth of the industry. His fame and success took it to levels it had never previously reached. The era of Hulkamania helped to make him and WWE a known commodity not just in America, but around the world.
Interestingly enough, President Trump also played a small role in the growth of World Wrestling Entertainment and Hogan’s career when his Taj Mahal Casino and Hotel was the host venue for WrestleMania 4 and 5. His work with the company over the years led to a friendship with the wrestling legend that has spanned decades.
That bond was front and center in 2024 when the WWE Hall of Famer took to the stage at the Republican National Convention to stump for Trump to be re-elected as President of the United States. In the new Netflix documentary on Hogan’s incomparable career, the president actually took time out from his busy schedule to be interviewed for the film and spoke about his admiration for Hogan.
President Trump calls Hulk Hogan the Huckster?

Hogan suddenly passed away last year, and it seems he must have been on the 79-year-old president’s mind on Saturday afternoon. So he sent out a post about him on Truth Social. “We all miss the Huckster!” Trump wrote.
Unfortunately, it seems the president had a senior moment, and instead of calling him the Hulkster, as he is commonly known, he called him the Huckster. For long-time fans of the industry, they know that is not a nickname he used during his career.
The moniker emerged in the mid-90s after he signed a contract with WWE rival World Championship Wrestling. WWE began to do parody vignettes mocking Hogan and his age, with a parody character called the Huckster. They also mocked “Macho Man” Randy Savage — who also signed with WCW — with a parody character calling him the Nacho Man.
It was obviously a mistake by an individual who has had a lot of senior moments in recent years. This includes seemingly nodding off during Oval Office meetings over the last year.
