The intense rivalry between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre has escalated to a new level of personal warfare, with another high-stakes match planned for very soon.

According to BodySlam.net, the next stage of the feud is already locked in, with WWE planning another match “very soon.”

While specific match details have yet to be confirmed, the expectation is that the next confrontation will have significant storyline implications for both men. The rivalry clearly isn’t cooling off; if anything, it’s about to get more personal.

Latest Angle With Cody Rhodes

The chaotic sequence on the December 5th episode of SmackDown was the latest confrontation began when Drew McIntyre arrived at the arena in his truck to find General Manager Nick Aldis and security preventing him from entering. Aldis informed McIntyre that he remained suspended despite his involvement in the Survivor Series: WarGames match.

As McIntyre entered his truck to leave, Cody Rhodes ambushed him, jumping into the passenger seat and attacking him. The two top stars brawled briefly before McIntyre kicked Rhodes out and sped off, barely escaping the assault.

Rhodes didn’t stop with the parking lot ambush. He immediately marched to the ring and called out GM Nick Aldis, publicly demanding that McIntyre be reinstated. Rhodes then delivered a scathing promo, comparing McIntyre to a “cockroach,” calling him relentlessly and unkillable, suggesting the suspension could not stop their rivalry.

The continued focus on the McIntyre feud has not stopped Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes from booking his immediate future. On the same chaotic episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes confirmed that he will face the newly crowned NXT Champion, Oba Femi, at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th.

Oba Femi won the NXT Championship at NXT Deadline on December 6th, defeating Ricky Saints, to earn the right to challenge Rhodes in the Champion vs. Champion match.
