Bron Breakker is reportedly the leading candidate within WWE creative to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, the former NXT Champion is currently penciled in as the winner for the upcoming Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia.

Breakker is considered the “whiteboard favorite,” a term referring to the current working plan listed on WWE creative’s internal boards. While plans in professional wrestling are always subject to change, Breakker is currently the specific name identified as the intended winner as of December 2025.

“Bron Breakker is your current… whiteboard favorite, as so bluntly described to us to win the Royal Rumble,” WrestleVotes stated. “An idea has been strongly considered within creative circles that would see Breakker win the Royal Rumble on January 31 from Saudi Arabia.”

Bron Breakker’s Title Match

The report clarified that these Royal Rumble plans are independent of Breakker’s upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match. Breakker is scheduled to challenge CM Punk for the title on the January 5, 2026, edition of Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn, New York. That episode will mark the show’s one-year anniversary on Netflix.

“Regardless of the announced match for the January 5, Monday Night Raw for the world title in Brooklyn versus CM Punk… we can report that the current favorite, or the odds on favorite, as creative stands right now, is for Bron Breakker to win the men’s Royal Rumble,” WrestleVotes added.

Breakker has been riding a wave of momentum recently, including a high-profile victory at Survivor Series: WarGames. In that match, he teamed with Bronson Reed and Logan Paul—a trio known as “The Vision”—alongside Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar to defeat a team led by Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Scoring the pinfall on CM Punk at Survivor Series is what earned him the upcoming title shot in Brooklyn.

The 2026 Royal Rumble is set to take place on January 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This marks a historic shift for one of WWE’s “Big Four” events, moving it outside of North America for the first time. If Breakker secures the victory, it would guarantee him a main event championship opportunity at WrestleMania 42.
