A major spoiler has emerged about the return of a WWE legend at this weekend’s Royal Rumble, and the news comes straight from the person themself.
This Saturday in Saudi Arabia, the road to WrestleMania 42 officially begins with the January classic that is the Royal Rumble. The event in Riyadh features several major matchups, but WWE fans will be focused on the men’s and women’s 30-person battle royals.
The winners of those matches will set up some big title bouts in April at WrestleMania. However, what makes the Royal Rumble, arguably, the second most beloved yearly event in WWE is the surprises. Fans have become accustomed to unexpected returns in both Rumble matches.
On Wednesday, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque let fans know in advance to expect surprises this weekend. However, one of those likely surprises was spoiled this afternoon on a new edition of the Pat McAfee Show.
During the show, WWE legend Brock Lesnar made an unexpected appearance via FaceTime. While speaking with McAfee, “The Beast” revealed that he was set to make the trip to Saudi Arabia and take part in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
Many wondered if Lesnar’s first appearance since the Survivor Series in November would be at the Rumble. That is now confirmed. It should make for some interesting moments since his teammates at Survivor Series, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul are also taking part in Saturday’s main event.
